The Taimana Ensemble is delighted to present the first concert in their 2016 Concert Series. Including both works for flute, cello and piano trio and duo, this programme showcases many of the possibilities of this sometimes overlooked combination of instruments. From Beethoven's exultant fifth Cello Sonata to Martinů's lyrical and charming Sonata for Flute and Piano, this concert provides a large cross-section, accented by French romantic works of the first half of the 20th century.
